Story: After serving as Chief Investment Officer for the City of Philadelphia’s $2.5 billion Board of Pensions and Retirement, where she created one of the country’s first emerging manager programs, Tina Byles Williams mortgaged her home to establish Fiduciary Investment Solutions (FIS Group). Her vision: to identify talented, entrepreneurial investment managers—especially those who were diverse and women-owned—and create superior returns for institutional investors.

Impact: Launched one of the first minority and women-owned institutional investment management firms in the United States.
